Tunisia And The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS 2030)

Tunisia welcomes the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (2030 agenda) by the UN General Assembly, in New York. Build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) progress, this new development program has a universal trend and includes around 17 Goals and 196 targets.

Tunisia has actively contributed to identifying and elaborating the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals mainly through the organization of a large national consultation, in collaboration with the UN’s System in Tunisia, and the participation in various meetings particularly “The Open Working Group” on the 2030 agenda.

Tunisia will work on the integration of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals in its new National Plan for Development and will fully support their implementation at regional and international levels. And in the framework of its commitment to South-South Cooperation, Tunisia will also endeavor to promote joint projects with brotherly and friendly countries highly the African Sub-Saharan countries.
