The Forum of Arab Ministers of Social Development, which was held in cooperation with UNESCO, recommended the necessity of coming up with an Arab action program on social responsibility (Amman, 2008). The Arab Economic, Development and Social Summit (Kuwait, 2009) discussed the project of launching an Arab initiative to activate social responsibility.

Arab CSR was launched at the (first) Arab Forum for Social Responsibility held by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States in the United Arab Emirates.

Arab CSR is the largest Arab media platform that enjoys academic and governmental partnerships with the aim of enhancing added value with public and private sector institutions. It is the Arabic platform affiliated with the Global Network for Social Responsibility, which is headquartered in Canada and has an address (www.globalcsr.org).
