Saudi Arabia joins the Global Institute for Carbon Capture and Storage
The Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute (GCCS) has welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Energy, to join the Institute’s member states. As the latest member of this international center, which focuses on expanding the use of carbon capture and storage technologies, Saudi Arabia affirmed its unwavering commitment to addressing climate challenges through collaboration, innovation and the adoption of impactful technologies.
In line with its intention to reach zero by 2060, the Kingdom is embracing a range of efforts and initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, including the use of carbon capture and storage technologies.
