Khaled Kassar is a social business entrepreneur leading the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) movement in Lebanon. Based on 25 years of research and experience, Khaled is an expert in CSR and is passionate about spreading the culture of CSR, sustainability, governance, transparency, and best practice in Lebanon and the region. He is the founder and CEO of CSR LEBANON (2009) and Responsible Business Consultancy in Dubai (2002): two business-led social enterprises aimed at raising awareness and building advocacy on CSR and Sustainability while enhancing the CSR dialogue in the Arab world. Khaled also founded The Annual CSR LEBANON FORUM, an international scale event that is currently running its 7th edition (2010-2017), and the publisher of Responsible Business Quarterly Review, the first and only magazine in the Middle East specializing in sustainability and CSR. His unwavering devotion to advancing strategic CSR implementation in the region has granted him the trust of private sector leaders, business associations, and the international community, notably the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) who appointed him to establish and launch the UNGC Local Network in Lebanon (2012-2015). Khaled has also been an advisor to many key business decision makers, government officials in several business and economic fields. He has also served as a member of and advisor for the official Lebanese Delegation to the IMF & World Bank Group Annual Meetings (1996-2008). Khaled is also the founder of Beirut Information and Studies Center – BISC (1995), a consultancy firm offering business intelligence specializing in research, business publishing and strategic corporate communications, crisis management and risk mitigation.
